About us
360 Engineering is determined to be different. We were borne out of a desire to revolutionise automation across a range of industries including water/wastewater, food & beverage, manufacturing and mining.
We stand out from our competitors by pairing leading-edge technology with good old-fashioned customer service. We pride ourselves on being nimble, efficient and on getting great results for our clients, whilst having fun along the way.
The Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, 360 Engineering currently has an opportunity for a Control System/Automation Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis.
Joining an experienced team of 15+ Engineers, you will be working closely with clients to design and deliver a range of control system and telemetry projects, completing a mix of office-based and field-based work.
Your primary role will be working across industry leading technologies; designing, programming, testing, commissioning and supporting SCADA, PLC, RTU, HMI and Radio systems.
Your other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ethernet networking design and implementation;
- Providing support and training to clients;
- Mentoring junior engineering staff;
- Assisting with the development of bids, proposals and quotes;
- Performing maintenance and diagnostics on client systems; and
- Completing risk assessments and ensuring all work complies with
- WHS and Quality standards
About You
We are looking for someone with significant experience in control systems, and, ideally, an understanding of telemetry. A relevant degree or trade qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential.
You will have a knack for customer service, being a naturally personable and down-to-earth individual who can communicate effectively on a technical level and work collaboratively with both clients and project staff.
You will have a strong background with leading PLC brands such as Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, or Schneider, and/or leading RTU brands including Schneider, Brodersen or Kingfisher. You will also have strong experience with leading SCADA products such as ClearSCADA or Citect.
You will be confident using Microsoft Office, and have a good understanding of networking and advanced computing concepts such as virtualisation.
You will need to be able and willing to assist junior engineering staff, whilst being open to feedback and be genuinely interested in collaborating with and learning from the highly experienced 360 Engineering team.
Finally, you’ll take genuine pride in your work, with good attention to detail, a sense of initiative and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
